What a Week!

The month of March had been slow for our little family until last week. This post is going to be long, so sit back and enjoy.
First off, we have good friends who are moving out of the Dayton area and wanted to get rid of a few of their old toys. One of these toys happened to be a little buggy that Madelyn absolutely loves riding in!!! It has made going for walks much more enjoyable for the both of us.

Secondly, my sister and her daughter came to visit. We had all sorts of fun. She is really into family history right now and turns out that I live only 30 minuets away from the 2 plots of land that were originally owned by my great-great-great-great-grandpa. And she also found the cemetery where they were buried. The picture below is a picture of the land that Jasper Shewey bought from Thomas Jefferson back in the 1800's.

Of course we had to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. So here we all are sporting our green shirts and eating gold that was found at the end of the rainbow, along with Leprechaun soup and shamrock punch.

Madelyn doesn't get to watch T.V. very often so when her cousin wanted to watch a movie she was amazed that the black box on the top of the T.V. stand could be so bright and colorful.

This brings us to this week. Dan gets a small break from school so we have been enjoying time with daddy. This is a picture of Madelyn trying to break free from her car seat. Looks like she actually figured it out!

Last but not least, Madelyn in the kitchen doing dishes with daddy. The best part is the whole time they were rinsing she never put her pink cup down.

A Morning in the Life of Madelyn

First I wake up and play for a few minuets while mom is cooking me breakfast. I get dressed and then saddle up in my chair for breakfast!

Here is a short clip of how breakfast has been going lately.

After a full belly of oatmeal I head straight to the piano for practice time. I am working on an Easter Song to play at my spring recital.

After all this hard work I am worn out and ready for my morning nap.

If you noticed I did go through 3 outfits, and one bath all before 10 am. I believe a new outfit every hour is my record so far.
