Lighthouses
I have started trying to teach Madelyn school like things during the day. It is a little awkward, but we are figuring it out. Today we were playing Monopoly (the Idaho version) and she was all of a sudden got really curious about the lighthouse game piece. So we got on the computer and looked at lighthouses.
She liked the ones that had a sunset int the background because she thought they looked purple.
We decided to make 2 lighthouses (one for Madelyn and one for baby Evelyn, both by Madelyn) and one boat. If you look closely you will notice our lighthouses have stripes just like the red one and they have windows and an door.
And then it was time to put our lighthouse to the test to see if it would really help our boat not crash into the side of the kitchen sink. We turned out all the lights and the girls were absolutely amazed at the candle. I think Madelyn might even think I am magic now.
It was so much fun we had to do it more after nap time too.

The red one with stripes is what gave me an idea!
